Decorating with Ramonda! The feedback we received for having professional designer, Ramonda Schweider of Bloom Designs, available for consultations during June was overwhelmingly positive. We are therefore pleased to announce that we will be continuing our arrangement with Ramonda on Fridays in July. Appointments are available starting July 9th. Need design or color help? Call for your complimentary 1/2 hour in-store consultation today!

Important!!! Change in hours: Beginning the week of April 5th, we will be closed on Saturdays in order to have more time with our family. We will continue to be open later on Thursdays and Fridays - til 7pm both days - so you can get materials for your weekend projects.

5/15/10 Update: We just had to let you know that we've enjoyed our full weekends off immensely! But even more importantly, we wanted to let you know that we're truly moved by the support and words of encouragement regarding making the decision to close on Saturdays. It's a decision that would not have worked in many communities, but you, our neighbors and friends, have proven beyond any shadow of a doubt that you not only respect our decision but you also share our values. We're proud of you all, and we sincerely thank you!

Lead Renovation Supplies are now available, including HEPA vacuums, EPA approved lead check kits, lead wipes, shoe covers, respirators, filters, bags, 6 mil poly, and more.

If you are a homeowner contemplating renovations on a pre-1978 home yourself, you are not subject to the EPA requirements to which professionals are subject. However, please stop in for the advice and materials you need to keep you, your family, and your neighbors safe as you complete your project.

Contractor Alert!!! 6/28/10 Update: We are happy that we've been able to assist some 125 of you to get the certification you need. Now that TC3 is offering regular classes, we going to focus on the business of satisfying your paint & coatings needs. If you still need to get certified, visit the following website: www.tc3.biz The training, certification, and work practice requirements for the EPA Lead-Based Paint Renovation, Repair and Painting Program (RRP), went into effect on April 22, 2010! This program applies to residential houses, apartments, and child-occupied facilities such as schools and day-care centers built before 1978. The fine for not complying with the RRP can be up to $32,500 PER VIOLATION PER DAY!!! Your firm MUST be certified with the EPA no later than April 22, 2010, and at least some of your crew must go through an 8-hour, EPA-sanctioned, lead training course. The application process can take up to 90 days, so you should file as soon as possible. Applications are available at Ithaca Paint or online.
